Ms. Christy's Class- 2 Week Unit on "Being Safe"

Hi Families!
 
I am reporting to you all fresh from TAEYC Teacher Training with a brain full of new ideas and knowledge to help me heighten your child's preschool experience! I am grateful to have had the oppurtunity to be the student again and walk away with many sensational activities to benefit my 2's and 3's!
 
We will begin a 2 week unit on "Staying Safe." This week, we will be focusing on fire safety, firefighters, and fire engines. I know the kids will just love this topic! I anticpate many questions and have many play experiences planned to teach on the theme.
 
I am reaching out to you all in order to help me build up the Fire Station Dramatic Play Area. We have a few items in storage to distribute between the 3 classes, but it would be WONDERFUL if we
could borrow some items from home to extend our play. Any firefighter costumes (or raincoats), boots, firefighter hats/helmets, large or non-chokable sized toy fire trucks, books, or anything related to the theme would be greatly appreciated! We will take good care of any temporary donations! :) Feel free to bring these items with you as you drop off your children on Mon/Tuesday.
